Our founder Sangita, started her business La di da Cupcakes in 2012, but decided to increase and expand her range in May 2015, launching the Coated Oreo.
After posting a picture of the new product on Instagram, we were approached by the Bakery Buyer at Selfridges & Co. and had a meeting with the department store 3 days later to discuss product ranges. Within a week of posting we had signed our T&Cs and were officially a supplier for one of the most famous department stores in the world. What a whirlwind 7 days!
(We are glad to see both our photograph and product have come a long way since then...)
After obtaining a licence from Mondelez and the rights to use the 'Oreo' branding, and also following our success at Selfridges & Co. and Not On The High Street, we were approached by Harrods and have since launched 3 exclusive boxes in store - a huge achievement for a self-taught baker.
